Location: Remote (Asia-Pacific region)
Position Type: Full-time, 2-year renewable contract
Monthly Salary: Starting from USD 1,200
Application Deadline: 24 October 2025

About the Role

APWLD is inviting applications from women in all their diversities across the Asia-Pacific region to apply for the position of Programme Associate, supporting two of its critical initiatives:

  • Climate Justice Programme – This programme supports women most affected by climate change and works to ensure that local, national, and global climate policies reflect their lived experiences and demands. It focuses on dismantling systemic inequalities and advancing feminist climate solutions.
  • Crises and Women’s Human Rights Initiative – This initiative examines the root causes and impacts of interconnected global and local crises—such as economic instability, climate emergencies, and political conflict—on women’s rights. It aims to drive feminist responses through research, documentation, advocacy, and movement-building.

The successful applicant will work with a dynamic feminist team and network of members to advance women’s human rights, build grassroots women’s leadership, and advocate for Development Justice.

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programme activities such as research, advocacy campaigns, trainings, consultations, and documentation.
  • Maintain regular communication with members, partners, and stakeholders across the region.

  • Support members’ participation in regional and international policy advocacy spaces.
