Pastoral Support Student Wellbeing Lead Job Opportunity in Staffordshire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the onboarding of new students.
  • Help in preparing students for transitions as they leave school.
  • Assess student needs by establishing a baseline upon their entry to the school, with ongoing reviews and adjustments.
  • Implement, monitor, and review programs that foster students’ social and academic growth.
  • Offer assistance to students dealing with behavioral, emotional, or vulnerability challenges.
  • Actively ensure the safety and well-being of students, protecting them from neglect, abuse, and exploitation.
  • Foster an environment of respect and dignity for all students, supporting their right to be valued.
  • Collaborate effectively with external partners, including parents and placement agencies, and attend reviews and conduct home visits as necessary.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of child safeguarding protocols.
  • Experience working within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with school operations and expectations.
  • Understanding of child development and the diverse needs of SEN students.
